Calico

In the Calico Mountains sits a former silver mining town in San Bernardino County. The Calico Ghost Town park is located between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In addition to the legendary "Ghost Town" activities available, many trails are open for off-roading adventurers. 4x4 riders, motorcyclists, mountain bikers, and hikers are all welcome to enjoy these activities. 

Glamis

If you're looking for some incredible sand dunes, Glamis is the place you want to check out. It's located just off of Hwy 78, between Blythe and Brawley. There are sand dune hills and valleys that are perfect for 4x4s of all kinds. Algodones Dunes and the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area make up the "Glamis Sand Dunes."

Johnson Valley

Off of Hwy 247 is the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Area. It has many steep red and rocky mountains, hills, and valleys to explore. With a range of 2,300ft to 4,600ft, you're sure to find a new playground to drive around in. Off-road vehicles of all shapes and sizes, as well as hikers and nature lovers, are welcome to the area. 

Oceano Dunes (Pismo Beach)

This recreation area is located three miles south of Pismo Beach in Oceano. It is also the only area in all of California where you can drive and camp out on the beach. Catch some air on your off-roading vehicle on the beach. 

Ocotillo Wells

Ocotillo Wells is a community within San Diego County. It's 3 miles west of the Imperial County line on State Route 78. Ocotillo Wells is a beautiful desert that provides adventurers with more than 85,000 acres of off-roading fun. With numerous trails and its rocky canyons, you won't be disappointed. Also, any off-roading vehicle that is registered is allowed in.
